Set up your salon

Four steps. You'll need the license key from your welcome email and the tablet you'll use at the door.

Find your license key

It arrived in your welcome email right after signup. It looks like this:

Open your owner dashboard

On any phone or computer, go to kairodesk.app/dashboard and paste your key. This is where you watch the queue, revenue, and staff — bookmark it.

Turn your tablet into the kiosk

On the tablet clients will use, open Chrome and type kairodesk.app/setup, then download the kiosk app below. Install it, open it, and enter the same key.

A popup will say your browser "isn't allowed to install unknown apps." Tap Settings on that popup, switch on Allow from this source, press Back, then tap Install.

Know where your settings live

The kiosk opens its setup screen by itself the first time. After that, your business name, services, prices, staff PIN, and look all sit behind the gear button in the top right corner of the welcome screen. Tap it, enter your admin password, and you are back in.

Until setup is finished that corner shows a gold Finish setup button with a count of what is left, so nothing gets missed. It shrinks to the plain gear once you are done.

I didn't get the welcome email

Check spam first. Still nothing? Recover your key with the email you signed up with.

The tablet says the app is blocked

Tap Settings on that popup and switch on Allow from this source, then go back and tap Install. On some tablets (Samsung, Realme) this setting instead lives under Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps — find your browser there and allow it.

I closed the setup screen and cannot find it again

Look at the top right corner of the kiosk welcome screen. A gear button is always there. Tap it and enter your admin password. Tapping your logo five times fast opens the same thing.

I don't know my admin password

It is the one you set under Features in the kiosk setup screen. If it was never changed, message us and we will walk you through resetting it on the tablet.

My key says invalid or expired

Trial keys stop after 14 days. Open your owner dashboard and pick a plan there — your shop's data is saved for 90 days.
